The \"Savannah\" binoculars have a robust construction combined with brilliant optics. They are waterproof to a depth of 1.5 m for three minutes. This requires a high degree of mechanical quality in the construction of the binoculars and ensures that you can use the binoculars in any weather. This ability is further enhanced by the rubberised body, which protects it from shocks and knocks.
These binoculars are filled with nitrogen, which prevents internal fogging in adverse weather conditions.
Fully multi-coated optics are standard on the Barr & Stroud Sahara series as well as BAK-4 prisms. This ensures that as much light as possible is transmitted through the optics resulting in a super bright image even in low light conditions, thus avoiding a dramatic loss of performance.
