These binoculars are filled with nitrogen, which prevents internal fogging in adverse weather conditions.
Fully multi-coated optics are standard on the Barr & Stroud Sierra series as well as BAK-4 prisms. This ensures that as much light as possible is transmitted through the optics resulting in a super bright image even in low light conditions, thus avoiding a dramatic loss of performance.
