TREKSTA combines the GORE-TEX® membrane with the GORE-SEAM® TAPE seam-sealing process. The result is a boot with guaranteed and durable waterproof protection and maximum breathability. The GORE-TEX® membrane is laminated to the lining of the boot to create a high-performance fabric. The expanded PTFE portion of the membrane contains over 9 billion microscopic pores per square inch. These pores are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of moisture. So while water droplets cannot penetrate the GORE-TEX® membrane, moisture vapor (gas) can easily escape
